All members and respected visitors are expected to follow these guidelines when visiting and using the Masjid facilities. The intent of these guidelines is to ensure:

 

• That the congregation is able to perform their prayers, supplications and Zhikr in a calm, peaceful and serene atmosphere at all times 

• That Central Masjid facilities remain clean, neat and fresh at all times.

MASJID RULES & ETIQUETTE

• Please turn off cell phones during prayers.

• Proper dress code and all Islamic etiquette appropriate for a Masjid must be followed at all times (see Dress Code Policy)

• Please keep shoes on the shoe rack.

• Please help keep the masjid clean and use its resources (water, paper towels, etc), as if they were your own. This is the house of Allah (SWT), so treat it better than your own home.

• Restrooms and toilets must be kept clean and used with consideration for other users. Water must not be spilled on the floor or toilet seat and left unclean.

• Please monitor small children closely. Keep them beside you before; during and after prayers i.e. do not allow them to run around. If a child begins to cry, it is ok to pick him or her up and continue the prayers.

• Food or drink is not allowed to be consumed in any carpeted area in the Masjid.

• When foods or drinks are brought in or consumed in the non-carpeted areas of the mosque, all types of waste including leftover food, drinks, paper products, cutlery, and other garbage, must be collected in heavy plastic garbage bags and properly disposed of before leaving the Masjid.

• Any utensils, and equipment used during the visit must be properly washed, dried and stored away as they were found.

• Please talk softly while waiting for the prayer to begin.

• Please keep silent during the Friday sermon, or it will void your worship.

• Please wear T-shirts that are appropriate i.e. No skulls, faces or explicit phrases.

• No smoking inside or outside the masjid.

• The Masjid will open at 4:30 a.m. and close at 9:00 p.m.

• NO overnight sleeping in any section of the Masjid is allowed except for Itikaaf 

• The last person to leave the Masjid should turn off lights and fans.
