As part of our Educational & Islamic Outreach (Dawah) Program, Central Masjid provides a tour of our facilities to a plethora of guests, visitors and dignitaries every year ranging from schools, universities, tourists, community organisations, policymakers, and many more.

 

​The duration and topic of the visit are usually tailored to visiting groups' needs.

 

​Visits to the mosque should be booked in advance by telephone, email, post or in person. Preferred visit times and days are between 11.00 am and 3.00 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  Early morning or late evening visits can be arranged on request on Fridays and are subject to availability.

 

A typical visit to the Masjid consists of the following:

• A presentation about the Islamic faith.

• Q & A and discussion session.

• A guided tour of the Masjid building accompanied by a Representative

• Observation of one of the daily or special prayer services

 

Tours are free of charge.

Guidelines for all visitors

• Footwear needs to be removed before entering prayer areas

• Dress Code to be followed

• No food or drinks are allowed in the prayer halls.

• Smoking is not allowed anywhere in our compound.

• Videos and photography for personal use may be taken but must avoid capturing worshippers. For non-personal use, please seek permission by emailing the Media Team at centralmasjidjamaica@gmail.com
